Mutton Paya is a popular Pakistani breakfast.Mutton Paya recipe is basically stew made when goat legs (Trotters) are cooked in water with spices on very low flame. The juice from legs is extracted from the legs and stew kind of curry is prepared which is very delicious as well as healthy. Mutton paya recipe is essential for those who have bones problem.So try this easy homemade recipe and give your views.

INGREDIENTS

Oil 1/2 cup
Ginger Garlic paste 2 tbsp
Onion 2 (grinded)
Trotters 6
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Yogurt beaten 1 cup
Water 7 cups
Whole spice powder 1/2 tbsp 
Fresh coriander 
Green chilies

METHOD
  • Wash and clean trotters. 
  • Take a large pot, heat oil and add onion (grinded), fry until light brown.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and trotters and give it a good mix and fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add red chili powder, salt, turmeric powder, beaten yogurt and mix well until oil separates.
  • Add 7 cups of water and cook on low flame until done around 3-4 hour.
  • Now sprinkle whole spice powder and put it on simmer for 10 minutes or until desired consistency.
  • Sprinkle fresh coriander leaves and green chilies and serve hot with Naan/Roti.
