VEGETABLE PAKORA
Who do not like pakora? PAkora is a favourite snacks of pakistani people and it is must made fried items in the Holy month of Ramadan. Our fast is incomplete without pakoras. today I am going to share some mouth watering recipe of pakoras that will actually turn your iftari into celebrations.This recipes is about mix vegetable pakoras that turns out perfect taste.
PREPARATION TIME: 20 mins COOKING TIME:10- 15 mins SERVING: 8
INGREDIENTS
Gram Flour (besan) 1 & 1/2 cups
Baking soda 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Carom Seed (Ajwain) 1/2 tsp
Dry Fenugreek leaves (Kasuri methi) 1tsp
Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
Green chili 3
Onion 2 (sliced)
Spinach leaves (chopped) 1/2 cup
Carrot 1 cup Chopped)
Cabbage 1 cup (Chopped)
Potato 1 cup (Chopped)
Coriander leaves 1/4 cup (chopped)
Water just sprinkle 1/8 cup
Salt 1 & 1/2 tsp
Oil for deep frying
METHOD

Rinse, peel and then chopped all the veggies.

Mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl.

Then add all the chopped vegetables mix it well, and Sprinkle salt and water.

The mixture should be semi thick as shown(not too tight or watery) lightly on the sticky side.

Heat oil in a frying pan. With the help of a spoon or with hands drop small small balls of this batter in the oil. Do not overcrowd or the pakoras will not fry evenly. Also fry them on medium flame otherwise they will get burnt.

Fry till the pakoras become crisp and golden brown on both sides. It will take 3-5 minutes if you fry on medium flame.

Once done remove form frying pan and drain excess oil by placing the fried pakoras on a paper towel. Finish the remaining dough by frying them in batches.

NOTE
- Do not throw the pakoras in the hot oil or else you will burn your skin.
- To check if the oil is hot, put a small drop of batter if it comes up immediately the oil is hot enough. If the oil is not hot enough then the pakoras will absorb too much oil.
