FROZEN PARATHA FOR RAMADAN
Today's recipe is homemade frozen paratha. Exactly the same paratha, which usually we buy from the Market. make in a large batch and freeze for up to 3 months. & If you like the recipe then, share it with your friends and family....enjoy!PREPARATION TIME: 1 & 1/2 hours COOKING TIME: 10 min
INGREDIENTS
All-purpose flour 2 cups
Semolina 1/2 cup
Salt 1 tsp
warm water as required
yeast 1/2 tsp
Eggs 1
Ghee or Butter 1/4 cup (not oil)
Condensed Milk 2.5 to 3 tbsp
For Ghee or Butter mixture:
Ghee or Butter 1/3 cup
All-purpose flour 3 tsp
METHOD
- In a large bowl add flour, ghee or butter, semolina, salt, yeast, condensed milk, egg and mix all together well.
- Gradually add water and knead until the dough is formed, cover and let it rest for 1 hour.
- For Ghee or Butter mixture:
- In a small bowl add ghee or butter and flour mix well & set aside.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal parts.
- 1st Method: Fold it as a fan plate. Apply some ghee or butter mixture on top of it and roll it out.
- 2nd Method: Roll out the dough quite thin.
- Apply ghee or butter mixture Cut it in a thin strip and then start folding from one side to the other.
- Then roll it around your hand and tie a knot.
- Place thick plastic sheet and rolled dough, apply oil and wrap with another thick plastic sheet, apply oil and place another rolled dough and brush oil, cover with another thick plastic sheet.
- It can be freeze in a zip lock bag for up to 3 months.
- Heat griddle and fry paratha from both sides with ghee.
- Serve hot with Raita, Achaar, etc.
