PREPARATION TIME: 5 mins COOKING TIME: 30 mins SERVING: 2-4
Milk 500 ml
Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
sugar 3-4 or to taste
pistachios chopped 1 tbsp
pistachios grounded 3 tbsp
Kewra water 3-4 drops optional
Green food color 1-2 drops optional
METHOD
- Place a large heavy bottom sauce pan on a medium heat. Add milk and let it come to a boil.
- Once milk comes to boil, reduce heat and let the milk simmer uncovered, stirring continuously with a spatula.
- Cook the milk for about 10 to 15 minutes till it is reduced and become thick in consistency.
- Add sugar, grounded pistachio, cardamom powder, green food color and mix it well.
- Now switch off the flame.add the kewra essence.
- pour the mixture into kulfi moulds and freeze for 4-6 hours.
- To remove the kulfi from the mould, dip the mould in warm water and pull out the Kulfi.
- Garnish with chopped pistachios and serve immediately.
