BEEF NIHARI
Beef Nihari is a typical and most popular Pakistan recipe served at every dinner, lunch, or wedding function. It is a mild flavored thick curry made with special Desi Masala ingredients. For Nihari:
Beef bong 1 kg + bones 1/2 kg
oil ghee 1 cup
ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
wheat flour 3-4 tbsp
gram flour 1 tbsp
salt 2 tsp
chilli powder 1 tbsp
water 10-12 cup
prepared nihari masala 4 tbsp
For Special nihari masala:
cinnamon sticks 2 (1 inch each)
big cardamom 1
green cardamoms 4
nutmeg 1/2 piece
mace 4 piece
black paper 10-12
fennel seeds 2 tbsp
coriander powder 1 tbsp
turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
dry ginger 1/2 piece
METHOD
- For Nihari masala grind together finely put in an airtight bottle and use accordingly.
- Take a pot heat the oil or ghee and fry ginger and garlic paste.
- Add beef and bones cook for 2 min.
- Now add red chilli powder,salt, prepared masala and mix well.
- Add water cover and cook for 2 hours on low heat.
- Then mix the wheat and gram flour in 1/2 cup of water and make thin paste.
- After 2 hours add this paste in meat and stir continuously until the desire consistancy.the gravy become thick.
- Cover it again cook for atleast 1 hour.
- When nihari is done garnish with green chillies and ginger flakes.
- Serve with Naan,lemon slice and ginger flakes.
