KOFTA BIRYANI RECIPE, MEATBALL BIRYANI

INGREDIENTS
For making koftay (meatballs)
Beef mince 500 gm
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Green chilies Finely chopped 4
Onion Finely chopped 1
Coriander 1/2 cup
Mint leaves 2 tbsp
Gram flour 1 & 1/2 tbsp
Cumin powder 1 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Whole spice powder 1/2 tsp
Oil for frying
For making Biryani:
Boiled Rice (Basmati) 500 gm
Cooking oil 1/2 Cup
Onion slices 3 (finely sliced)
Ginger garlic paste) 1 & 1/2 tsp
Tomatoes chopped 2
Yogurt beaten 1 cup
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Red chili powder 2 tsp
Coriander powder 2 tsp
Black pepper corns 3
Bay leaf 1
Cloves 2-3
Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
Cinnamon stick 1
Green cardamom 2
Salt 1 tsp or to taste
Fresh Mint 1/2 cup
Fresh Coriander 1 cup
Green chilies 3-4
Kewra Essence 1/4 tsp
Yellow food color tsp

METHOD
- In chopper add all the ingredients and and chop until well combined.
- Grease your hands with oil and make small koftay, shallow fry in hot oil in frying pan.
- Heat oil in pot add black pepper corns, bay leaf, cloves,cinnamon stick,green cardamom, and cumin seeds and fry for 30 secs.
- Add onion and fry till golden brown, then add ginger garlic paste and mix well.
- Add tomatoes, red chili powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder, salt, yogurt & mix well, cook on high flame until oil separates.
- Now, add fried meatballs, fresh mint & coriander, lemons, green chilies,boiled rice, kewra essence and yellow food color,cover and cook for 10-15 minutes on low flame.
- Kofta biryani is ready and serve hot with raita.
