BEEF BIRYANI

 Recipe for Eid ul Azha by Cuisine Valley (Eid Recipe)

Biryani is one of favorite and main dish at any special occasion. On Eid days we must prepare Biryani in one of the day.Try our delicious Beef Biryani Recipe which is very easy you can take the direction from the method column below and take the ingredients in the list.




PREPARATION TIME: 20 mins        COOKING TIME: 1 hour        SERVING: 6

INGREDIENTS

Oil 3/4 Cup
Onion sliced 3 large
Beef 700 gm
Ginger garlic paste 2 & 1/2 tbsp
Tomatoes 3 large
Water 2 & 1/2 Cups
Red chili powder 1 tbsp or to taste
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Mace powder 1/4 tsp
Nutmeg powder 1/4 tsp
Kashmiri red chili powder 1 tbsp
Salt 1 & 1/2 tbs or to taste
Black pepper corns 1 tsp
Star anise 1-2
Black cardamom 1-2
Green cardamom 4
Cloves 5
Cinnamon stick 2
Bay leaf 1
Yogurt sour 1/2 Cup
Lemon juice 3 tbs
Fresh coriander 1/2 bunch
Rice Basmati 700 gm (soaked 30 minutes)
Lemon sliced
Fresh coriander chopped 2 tbsp
Kewra water Few drops
Yellow food color 1/4 tsp + Water 2 tbsp

METHOD
  • For Rice:
  • Heat water in a pot for boiling the rice. Add  salt & whole spices and boil the water.
  • Once water is boiled, add soaked rice and when it is cooked to two third part, remove in a strainer.
  • For Beef Masala:
  • Heat oil in pot add onion,fry until golden brown,take out half quantity of fried onion for later use.
  • In remaining fried onion,add beef and mix well until meat changes color.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and mix well, Cover and cook on low flame for 5 minutes.then add tomatoes and mix well.
  • Add water,mix and bring it to boil, cook on low flame until meat is tender (approx. 1 hour).
  • Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, mace powder, nutmeg powder, kashmiri red chili powder, salt, black pepper corns, star anise, black cardamom, green cardamom, cloves, cinnamon sticks, bay leaf, yogurt, mix well and cook for 5 minutes. 
  • Add fresh coriander, lemon juice and mix well and cook until oil separates & set aside.
  • For Assembling:
  • In separate pot, add boiled rice, meat gravy masala, lemon slices, fresh coriander and fried onion add remaining boiled rice.
  • Mix yellow food coloring in 2 tbsp water and Pour over the rice.
  • Pour few drops kewra water over the rice.
  • Cover and steam cook on low flame for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Delicious beef biryani is ready.Serve with raita and salad.
