CHICKEN SHAWARMA
Chicken shawarma is a unique dish from Arabic cuisine which is favorited not only in the Middle Eastern countries but also in Pakistan, India and certain other parts of the world.this is highly demanded in Pakistan. Pakistani people very eagerly eat chicken shawarma and often visit restaurants to have its taste.
PREPARATION TIME: 20 mins COOKING TIME: 10 mins SERVING: 7
INGREDIENTS
All-purpose flour 250 gm
Salt 1/2 tsp
Sugar 1/2 tbsp
Dry instant yeast 1 tsp
Olive oil 1 tbsp
Warm water as required
For Chicken:
Chicken boneless 500 gm
Yogurt 4 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Whole spice powder 1/2 tsp
Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Salt 1 tsp or to taste
Black pepper powder 1 tsp
Olive oil 2 tbsp
For Salad:
Tomatoes 2
Onions 2
Lettuce as required
Olives (optional)
For garlic sauce:

For Pita Bread:
- In bowl,add all-purpose flour,salt,sugar and instant yeast, and olive oil and give it a good mix.
- Now add warm water, mix and knead well until dough is formed, apply olive oil over the dough, cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, knead dough again and make 7 balls of the dough.
- Sprinkle some flour on working surface and roll the ball with the help of rolling pin into a flat round circle, cover & let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Heat griddle and put round dough on griddle, and cook both sides on low flame until light brown.
For Chicken:
- Combine chicken with other ingredients and leave for 25 minutes.
- Heat oil in pan, add chicken and cook until browned
- When chicken is done break it into small pieces.
- Mix salad ingredients in a bowl.
- Place the prepared sauce and lettuce on shawarma bread and put some prepared salad, cooked chicken, sauce and roll it.
- Shawarma is ready, Serve warm.,
