INSTANT JALEBI

Yummy and easy instant jalebi is now prepared at home by following these simple steps and enjoy this superb Pakistani sweet at the table of evening tea.



 PREPARATION TIME: 10 mins        COOKING TIME:35 mins   SERVING: 2

INGREDIENTS

For Sheera (Sugar syrup):
Water 250 ml
Sugar 500 gm
Green cardamom 2-3
Sour salt (Tatri) 1 pinch 

For Jalebi:
Flour 250 gm
Instant yeast 1 tsp
Orange Food color 1 pinch  
Ghee melted 1 tbs
Water 1 & 1/2 cup or as required
Ghee for frying

METHOD

For Sheera (Sugar syrup):
  • In a pot, add water, sugar and green cardamom mix it and cook
  • Then add sour salt (Tatri) & cook and set aside.
  • Sheera (sugar syrup) is ready.
For Jalebi:
  • In a bowl add flour, instant yeast, orange food color, ghee melted and water and make a batter of desired consistency.
  • Now pour this batter in the sneezing bottle.
  • In a frying pan, heat ghee and squeeze the bottle and make round shaped jalebi, & fry until jalebis changed into reddish-brown.
  • After frying, immediately put the fried jalebis in the warm sugar syrup for about 2-3 minutes. 
  • Jalebi is ready to serve and enjoy.
