GRILLED CHICKEN TIKKA


Grilled chicken tikka is very easy to make and out of this world delicious. The origins of the dish are from India and Pakistan. Chicken tikka is an easy-to-cook dish in which chicken chunks are marinated in yogurt and special spices and then grilled on skewers.make delicious grilled chicken tikka at home with simple and easy ingredients and Serve it with chutney and fresh salad.



PREPARATION TIME:20 mins        COOKING TIME: 15-20 mins         SERVING: 3-4

INGREDIENTS

Chicken (breasts boneless) 4  
Lemon juice 4 tbsp
Yogurt 1 cup
Ginger & garlic paste 2 tbsp
Cumin powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
coriander powder 1 tbsp
Black pepper powder 1 tsp
Whole spice powder 1 tsp
melted butter or oil, for brushing

METHOD
  • Clean your chicken, and cut it into bite size cubes.
  • Prick the chicken with a fork.
  • Put lemon juice in bowl with chicken, stir well, and set it aside.
  • In a large bowl, mix yogurt, garlic, ginger, cumin, coriander, turmeric, red chili, whole spice powder, salt and pepper, mix until they are well combined.
  • Place the chicken in the bowl with the marinade, cover and put it in the fridge for at least 3 hours, preferably overnight. 
  • Soak the skewers in water for 30 minutes.
  • Put about 5 or 6 pieces of chicken on a skewer and set it aside on a plate.
  • Heat your grill with a nice flame and place chicken skewers on the grill.
  • Brush with butter or oil, and grill approximately 5 minutes on each side, or until done.
  • Once you have grilled one side for 5 minutes, turn them over and brush with butter or oil, and grill 5 more minutes or until done.
  • Serve and enjoy your chicken tikka.
