PALAK CHICKEN - SPINACH AND CHICKEN CURRY
Palak Chicken….. one of the famous dishes in Pakistani home cooking but not everyone knows how to make the best one. Everyone knows how to make it but some people know how to make the best one. chicken palak is a nutrient rich, low-fat and low-calorie meal that is great part of a healthy diet.So try and enjoy the goodness of spinach and chicken together in one dish!
PREPARATION TIME:15 mins COOKING TIME: 30 mins SERVING: 5-6
Chicken 500 gm
Spinach 2 bunches (cleaned, washed and boiled)
Oil 1/2 cup
Onion medium sized 1
Tomatoes medium sized 2
Ginger & garlic paste 2 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp or to taste
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Crushed red chili 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Hot spice powder (garam masala) 1 tsp
METHOD
- Heat oil in a pot add onion, fry on medium high heat till the edges start to take on a golden brown.
- Add ginger & garlic paste, fry for a minute and add chicken. Fry until the chicken gets a golden color then and add tomatoes and all the spices. Cook on high flame. until the tomatoes are loose.
- Reduce the heat and cook covered until the chicken is 90% cooked.
- After this, add cooked spinach leaves, cook & cover on low heat for 10 minutes, then turn off the flame.
- Your Palak Chicken is now ready,Serve with warm chapatti or rice. Enjoy!
