CRISPY CHICKEN BOX PATTIES

Box patties are very crunchy in taste.Easy to make and tastes different than samosa.Filled with a mouth-watering chicken filling, these appetizers are ideal for Ramadan.Here is step by step recipe of box patties.



PREPARATION TIME: 30 mins        COOKING TIME:10 mins            SERVING: 6-8

INGREDIENTS

Chicken mince 250 GM
Oil 2 TBSP 
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
Red chilli flakes 1 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp  or(to taste)
Vinegar 1 tbsp
Hot sauce 1 tbsp
Green coriander 2 tbsp
Mayonnaise 1/2 cup
samosa wrapper 12-15 
Flour 2 tbsp

METHOD

  • In a pan heat oil,add ginger garlic paste,and chicken mince on a slow flame dry out water from mince.
  • After drying the water from mince add ,salt, red chilli flakes, black pepper,vinegar,  hot sauce and cook until done.
  • Shift it to a bowl let it cool.Then add green coriander, and mayonnaise and mix well.
  • In all-purpose flour,add water and mix well to make a paste & set aside.
  • Take two samosa sheet,place one samosa sheet horizontally,apply all-purpose flour paste then place second samosa sheet vertically over first one,it will make plus (+) sign.
  • Add  prepared chicken in the center and fold the top side so that it covers the filling.
  • Apply prepared flour paste and fold all sides to make a square box.
  • Make sure that all sides are properly sealed and prepare all the remaining box patties. 
  • In frying pan,heat oil and fry box patties from both sides until nice golden brown.
  • Ready to serve with ketchup or yogurt dip.
  • Can be stored for 2 weeks.
