MEETHI TIKIYAN

Meethi tikiyan is traditional sweet served in Pakistan on religious occasions. It is made with all healthy ingredients like semolina, milk, desiccated coconut, flour, desi ghee,takes not too much time and finally results in a great taste to enjoy.

PREPARATION TIME: 10 mins        COOKING TIME: 30 mins   SERVING: 2

INGREDIENTS

 All-purpose flour 1 cup 
Semolina 1/4 cup 
Sugar 1/2 cup 
Desi Ghee 4 tbsp 
Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp 
Hot milk 1/4 cup
Sesame Seeds 2 tbsp
Desiccated coconut 1/4 tbsp
Oil for frying

METHOD
  • In a bowl add all purpose flour, semolina, sesame seeds, sugar, desi ghee, cardamom powder, desiccated coconut and mix well.
  • Add milk and knead a dough,then divide dough into two equal parts.
  • Roll out dough with the help of rolling pin and cut with glass or a round shape mold.
  • In a wok,heat cooking add round tikiyan and fry on medium low flame until light golden.
  • Mithi Tikiyan are ready to serve with tea.
