MUTTON KORMA

Recipe for Eid ul Azha by Cuisine Valley (Eid Recipe)

Mutton korma is a traditional dish of India and Pakistan.In Pakistan korma is usually prepared on special occasions.Now learn a delicious Mutton Korma from Cuisine Valley and get appreciation from your family. PREPARATION TIME: 10 mins        COOKING TIME: 50-55 mins        SERVING: 4-5

INGREDIENTS

Oil 1 cup
Onion thinly larges sliced 2
Mutton 700 gm
Ginger & garlic 2 tbsp
yogurt 1 cup
Coriander powder 1 & 1/2 tbsp
Turmeric 1/4 tsp 
Red chili powder 1 & 1/2 tsp 
Whole spices: 
Black pepper whole 7-8
cloves 6
Black cardamom 1
Cinnamon 2
Bay leaf 2
Green cardamom 5-6
Salt 1 tsp
Ginger 1 tbsp (Julian)
Whole spice powder 1 tsp
Nutmeg & Mace grinded 1/2 tsp
Kewra Essence 1 tsp

METHOD
  • In a wok heat 1 cup oil. Add sliced onion and fry until brown. 
  • Take out fried onions in a big tray and spread on kitchen towel. 
  • In the same wok add all the whole spices fry it for a minute. 
  • Now add mutton and ginger & garlic paste, mix it well until colour of meat change. 
  • Add salt, coriander powder,turmeric and red chili powder mix it well for 6-7 minutes.
  • Now add yogurt and mix well.cover the lid and cook for 45 minutes till the meat 
  • tender.(add one cup of water if required) when the meat tender add grind fried onions 
  • Add  whole spice powder, grinded nutmeg & mace and mix well . 
  • Add kewra essence and cook for 5-10 minutes on lower flame. 
  • Delicious Mutton Korma is ready to serve garnish it with ginger.
