MANGO MOUSSE

Mousse is derived from the French word mousse which means foam.  As you all know that mango is the king of all fruits and everything made from this fruit is always tasty.



Mango Mousse is a great option for dessert on any occasion.It is very quick and simple to make. This mousse recipe is egg free. It is made with simple handful of ingredients that are easy to find at a grocery store.Try it and enjoy it in this summer with your love ones.

PREPARATION TIME: 20 mins     COOKING TIME: 0 mins       SERVING: 4   

INGREDIENTS

Mangoes 500 gm
Gelatin 1 tsp
Heavy whipping cream 1 cup
Sugar 4-5 tbsp
Water 2 tsp
Cream for garnishing
Mint leaves for garnish
Mango chunk for garnish

METHOD
  • Sprinkle gelatin powder on water and leave for 5 minutes for the gelatin to soak. 
  • In a bowl, pour in chilled whipping cream and whip it until stiff peaks. Set aside in the fridge until later.
  • Peel and cut mangoes then add sugar and process into food processor until smooth puree.
  • Now add mango puree in gelatin mixture.
  • Mix the whipped cream and mango pulp in a bowl using the folding method.
  • Freeze overnight in serving cups.
  • Decorate with cream and mango chunks serve chilled.
