CHICKEN JALFREZI

Chicken Jalfrezi is one of tasty and delicious dish to eat. Jalfrezi is Bengali word which means spicy food. It is made with boneless chicken and vegetables and also serve with boil rice Roti, or Chapatti So don't forget to try this easy recipe. 




PREPARATION TIME: 20 mins        COOKING TIME: 25-30 mins            SERVING: 2

INGREDIENTS

Chicken breast, cut into large chunks 350 gm
Capsicum  1 cup (cut in cubes)
Tomatoes 1 cup (cut in cubes)
Onion 1 cup (cut in cubes)
Ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp 
Cooking Oil 1/4 cup
Salt as per taste 
Red Chili Powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder 1 tsp 
Cumin Powder 1 tsp 
Onions chopped 2
Tomato chopped 3
Green Chilies, green coriander, ginger (As Needed for garnishing)

METHOD
  • Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onion and ginger, garlic paste over a low to medium heat for 4–5 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Add the tomatoes and saute well until oil separates.Then reduce the flame and add red chili powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder and cumin powder, stir well.
  • Then add the chicken pieces and stir well in a high flame for one minute then add salt,mix well and cover with a lid(if necessary add 1/4 cup water).
  • cook in low flame for 20 minutes,stir in between.once chicken cooked well switch of the stove.
  • Take another pan heat 1 tbsp oil,,then add the (Cubes capsicum, onion, and tomatoes) ,add little salt. then saute in high flame for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add this to the cooked chicken,stir well, cover with a lid and keep aside for 2 minutes.
  • Now garnish with green chili, green coriander, ginger.
  • Your tasty Chicken Jalfrezi now ready 
  • Serve hot with Rice, Roti, or Chapatti...
