PLAIN SWEET LASSI

Nothing like a chilled glass of Lassi to cool down on a hot summer day! Lassi is an originally a savory yogurt based drink which originated from the Punjab region of India, originally produced to get rid of the heat in the summer season.


Yogurt is a good source of good bacteria that live in the stomach that can help with digestion. It is also full of calcium which is good for strong, healthy bones and teeth.Let’s learn how to make sweet lassi at home.

PREPARATION TIME: 5-7 min                SERVING: 3

INGREDIENTS

Yogurt (Dahi or Curd) 2 cups 
Milk 1 cup  
Sugar 1/4 cup 
Fresh Cream 4 tbsp (optional) 
Ice Cubes 1 cup
Mint leaves for garnish

METHOD
  • Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until completely smooth. 
  • Pour into glasses. Garnish with a sprig of mint.
