LEMON SQUASH

In this summer when you came back from your work you need some refreshing drinks like Lemon Squash. As drinks like lemon squash help you to recover your energy and make you fit. Try it out and know by yourself.


PREPARATION TIME: 20 mins        COOKING TIME: 10 mins         

INGREDIENTS

Lemons 8
Water 1 liter
Sugar 1 cup

METHOD
  • With a vegetable peeler, peel the rind off the lemons.
  • Place the lemon rind, the water and sugar in a small saucepan and bring to the boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat. strain the rind out and allow to cool.
  • Meanwhile, peel the lemons and remove the seeds from the flesh.
  • Place the lemon flesh in a food processor with about 1/2 cup water.
  • Process until the flesh is liquidy.
  • Strain over a jug, pressing the pulp until virtually no more liquid remains -
  • Combine the juices from the pulp with the sugar syrup and stir to combine.
  • Use about ¼ cup of the squash with fizzy water.
