DORA CAKES
DORA CAKES
Dora cake is also known as Doraemon’s favorite cake. Kids love to eat these cakes anytime. It looks just like pancakes with lots of chocolate in between. Try this and make your kids happy.PREPARATION TIME: 10 mins COOKING TIME:10-15 mins SERVING: 2
INGREDIENTS
Eggs 2
Sugar 1/2 cup (powdered/icing)
Vanilla extract 1 tsp
All-purpose flour 1 cup
Honey 2 tbsp
Milk 3 tbsp
Baking powder 1 tsp
chocolate spread/ Nutella 1/4 cup
METHOD
- Add all the dry ingredients (all-purpose flour, powdered sugar, baking powder) in a bowl. Mix it well.
- Now add all the wet ingredients (milk, vanilla essence, egg, honey,) with the flour mixture and whisk it well so that no lumps are formed.
- The consistency of the batter should not be runny it should be slightly thin just like we use to make pancakes.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat drizzle some oil and wipe off with a paper towel to make the pan smooth.
- Pour about 1/3 cup of batter (Do not spread the batter with a spoon)
- when it starts bubbling flip it and cook it from another side.
- Once both the sides are done, keep them aside to cool down completely.
- Apply a thick layer of chocolate spread/ Nutella on one side of the pancake and cover it with another pancake.
- Homemade Dora cake or Doriyaki is ready to enjoy.
- You can use any chocolate cream that you like, but here we have opted for Nutella. If you have a variation, maybe you could mix in a teaspoon of crunchy peanut butter in the choco spread and fill in the pancake.
- You can keep these in a plastic bag in the fridge for several days. If your pan is bigger in size then you can make 2 pancakes at a time.
